To provide quality undergraduate and graduate education in African and International Studies; undertake independent and collaborative research on national and international policy issues within the context of the global economy; formulate African-centred perspectives and policies; and strengthen linkages between Africa and its diaspora within multicultural contexts.

VISION STATEMENT

To establish the Centre for African and International Studies as a flagship research institution renowned for educating students skilled in diplomacy, policy formulation, and the development of African solutions to Africa's development challenges.
